Description

HYRUM CITY is accepting resumes for a full-time Level I, II, or III Water Operator in the Culinary Water & Irrigation Department. Candidates will be required to work Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with rotating on-call shifts, overtime, and available for emergency call outs.
 
Level I – Salary Range $20.31 to $27.53 per hour for Level I
  1. Must be able to obtain Utah Water Distribution Classification Grade II or higher within twenty four
    months of employment.
  2. Must possess a Utah Drivers License.
  3. Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in operating heavy equipment.
  4. Proficient with various software and preferred GPS software.
  5. Requires ability to perform moderately heavy physical labor lifting upto 75 pounds and able to twist,
    kneel, and bend for associated tasks performed in the field.
  6. Ability to work in extreme hot and cold environmental conditions.
  7. Be available for snow removal from October through April.
Level II - Salary Range $21.75 to $30.47 per hour for Level II
  1. Must possess a Utah Certified Water Systems Operator II or higher.
  2. Must have 2 years of experience in repairing water leaks and installing water lines.
  3. Must possess a Class B CDL.
  4. Must have a minimum of 4 years of experience with trackhoe and backhoe excavating around
    utilities; and operating a vac truck, snowplow; and other miscellaneous heavy equipment.
  5. Knowledge of proper barricading and signage requirements.
  6. Must have a minimum of 2 years experience with chlorination systems, wells, and PRV stations.
  7. Proficient with GIS software and SCADA systems preferred.
  8. Requires ability to perform moderately heavy physical labor lifting upto 75 pounds and able to twist,
    kneel, and bend for associated tasks performed in the field.
  9. Ability to work in extreme hot and cold environmental conditions.
  10. Be available for snow removal from October through April.
Level III - Salary Range $24.39 to $33.80 per hour for Level III
  1. Must be a Utah Certified Water Systems Operator III or IV Unrestricted.
  2. Must possess a Class B CDL.
  3. Must have a minimum of 4 years of experience with trackhoe and backhoe excavating around
    utilities; and operating a vac truck, snowplow; and other miscellaneous heavy equipment.
  4. Knowledge of proper barricading and signage requirements.
  5. Must have a minimum of 4 years experience with chlorination systems, wells, and PRV stations.

Upon employment employee must reside in Hyrum City or no further than fifteen miles from city office.
