Position Summary

The Finance Analyst provides financial reporting, analysis, and planning support across EPO Operations, Commercial, and Engineering. Working closely with the FP&A & Cost Manager, this role supports forecasting, budgeting, cost management, and commercial profitability analysis while monitoring key financial and operational performance metrics. The position provides timely, accurate, and actionable financial insights to support day-to-day business decisions and improve business performance.

Essential Functions

Financial Reporting & Analysis

· Prepare recurring financial reports and analysis supporting EPO Operations, Commercial, Engineering, and functional leadership

· Analyze actual financial performance against forecast, budget and prior year, identifying key variances and drivers

· Prepare monthly reporting packages, dashboards and management reports

· Monitor orders, sales, profitability, costs and other key financial and operational KPIs

· Perform ad hoc financial analysis to support business decisions and management requests

· Translate financial data into clear and actionable insights

· Maintain accurate and timely financial reporting and ensure consistency across reporting systems and tools

Financial Planning & Forecasting

· Support EPO’s annual budget/AOP and current-year forecasting processes, including data gathering, analysis, modeling, and consolidation of inputs

· Maintain financial models and schedules used in monthly forecasting and budgeting

· Prepare variance analysis and supporting schedules for forecast and budget reviews

· Track changes in revenue, volume, pricing, mix, material costs, labor, overhead, and other key financial assumptions

· Support scenario analysis and sensitivity analysis related to current-year business performance

· Assist with Orders, Backlog, Sales, and profitability forecasting

· Maintain forecast tracking and identify changes in business assumptions that may impact financial results

Commercial Finance & Profitability

· Support analysis of revenue, margins, and profitability across products, customers and markets

· Prepare pricing and margin analysis using current cost inputs and business assumptions

· Support Commercial teams with pricing analysis, bid/proposal analysis, and customer profitability analysis

· Analyze price, volume, mix and cost impacts on financial performance

· Track pricing and margin improvement performance and assist in identifying margin improvement opportunities

· Support annual price increase analysis

· Assist with analysis of customer contracts, rebates, incentives, and other commercial arrangements

· Analyze product mix and SKU-level margins and identify trends or areas requiring additional investigation

· Prepare customer and product profitability reporting as assigned

Cost Accounting & Operations Finance

· Support month-end close activities related to inventory, cost of goods sold, manufacturing variances, and journal entries

· Analyze manufacturing variances including material, burden, labor, purchase price and absorption

· Maintain and reconcile inventory and cost accounting data

· Support standard costing activities, including annual cost roll, labor and burden rates, and ad hoc cost rolls

· Support physical inventory activities and inventory valuation processes

· Analyze manufacturing KPIs and identify operational trends impacting financial performance

· Support analysis of productivity initiatives, sourcing savings, inventory optimization, and other cost improvement activities

· Assist with financial analysis supporting capital expenditures and operational investments

· Support internal and external audit requests and maintain compliance with applicable accounting policies and controls

Business Partnership

· Serve as a Finance resource to Operations, Commercial and Engineering for day-to-day financial questions and analysis

· Provide timely analysis to help business partners understand the financial impact of operational and commercial decisions

· Partner with cross-function teams to gather information, validate assumptions, and improve the accuracy of financial reporting and forecasts

· Develop strong understanding of site operations, products, customers, cost drivers and commercial activities

Reporting, Data & Process Improvement

· Develop and maintain financial reports, dashboards, and analytical tools using JDE, Excel, BI tools and other reporting systems

· Automate and improve recurring reporting and analysis processes to increase efficiency and accuracy

· Maintain data integrity across systems and reporting tools

· Identify opportunities to simplify financial processes and improve reporting accuracy and timeliness

· Document recurring processes and maintain appropriate supporting documentation

· Assist with implementation and improvement of Finance processes, systems and reporting tools

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required

Experience and Competencies

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail

· Demonstrates the highest standards of integrity and professionalism

· Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting and general accounting concepts

· Excellent communication skills and high confidence in stating professional opinions

· Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel

· Demonstrated ability to streamline and automate complex processes

· Continuous improvement mindset

· High degree of integrity and professionalism

· Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SOX internal controls

Physical Environment and Environmental Factors

Office Environment

This position operates in a manufacturing office setting and involves regular use of standard office equipment. The role requires the ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods while performing computer-based tasks. The employee will occasionally move about the office or nearby production areas to access equipment, attend meetings, or communicate with team members. The individual must be able to communicate effectively with coworkers and external parties in person, over the phone, and through digital platforms.

Total Rewards

The compensation range for this position is $54,200.00 - $81,400.00, depending on experience. This position may be eligible for performance based bonus plan.
