About the role
As a Sales Development Representative at Keka, you’ll generate new pipeline and uncover upsell and cross-sell opportunities within our customer base. You’ll work with Account Executives, Marketing and HR decision-makers to turn conversations into qualified demos and meetings. In your first year, success means consistently booking qualified demos that convert into opportunities, and growing upsell and cross-sell pipeline from existing customers.
You’ll join the Sales team, which owns new business and expansion revenue for Keka’s HR and payroll platform. The team works closely with Marketing and Account Executives, with a strong focus on learning fast and sharing what works.
What you’ll do
- Own prospecting and outreach end to end, from market research and target lists to cold calls, emails and LinkedIn outreach
- Lead qualification, engaging HR and business decision-makers to understand their needs and pass qualified leads to the sales team
- Partner with Account Executives to set demos and meetings with high-intent prospects
- Drive upselling and cross-selling by identifying expansion opportunities in existing customer accounts
- Improve lead generation and conversion rates by working with Marketing and Sales, and keeping CRM records of leads, interactions and follow-ups accurate
- Stay current on industry trends, competitor offerings and HR technology developments
What you’ll bring
- 0 to 2 years of experience in sales, business development or customer-facing roles (freshers with strong communication skills are welcome)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- The resilience to handle rejection and follow up persistently with prospects
- A self-motivated, goal-oriented mindset
- Experience in HR SaaS or B2B SaaS sales, and familiarity with CRMs like HubSpot or Salesforce, are a plus but not mandatory
