A Day in the Life
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Physician Relations Specialist to lead the development and execution of strategic physician engagement initiatives across our Cranial and Spinal Technologies portfolio. This role is critical in building strong partnerships with healthcare professionals, supporting clinical adoption of innovative technologies, and driving long-term business growth.
As a trusted liaison between physicians, healthcare institutions, and internal stakeholders, you will cultivate key relationships, identify opportunities to enhance customer experience, and collaborate closely with sales, marketing, medical education, clinical, and market development teams.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
Develop and execute physician engagement and relationship management strategies aligned with business objectives.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), surgeons, physicians, and healthcare stakeholders.
Partner with commercial teams to support product adoption, customer retention, and business growth initiatives.
Identify and map influential physicians and referral networks within targeted healthcare institutions.
Facilitate physician education programs, advisory boards, peer-to-peer events, and clinical engagement activities.
Gather physician insights and market intelligence to inform business strategy and product development.
Support new product launches through targeted physician engagement and advocacy programs.
Collaborate with Medical Affairs, Marketing, Clinical, and Sales teams to ensure a consistent customer experience.
Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and changes within healthcare systems that may impact physician relationships.
Ensure all activities comply with healthcare industry regulations, ethical standards, and company policies.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Life Sciences, Health Sciences, Nursing, Marketing, or a related field.
Minimum 4 years' experience in the medical device, healthcare, pharmaceutical, or healthcare consulting industry.
Demonstrated success in managing physician, surgeon, or healthcare stakeholder relationships.
Strong understanding of hospital environments, healthcare systems, and clinical decision-making processes.
Exceptional communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
Experience working cross-functionally in a matrix organization.
Ability to analyze market and customer insights and translate them into actionable strategies.
Willingness to travel as required.
