As an Adaptive consultant, you will be fully supported by the Simmons & Simmons team with a sponsoring Partner and a client team with whom we would encourage you to engage on a regular basis. Main purpose of the role:

Simmons Adaptive are keen to hear from junior Australian or New Zealand qualified lawyers across a range of specialisms including:

• Commercial: general commercial, outsourcing commercial IT contracts, AI and digitalisation
• Corporate and M&A: cross-border transactions and private equity
• Banking & Finance: leveraged finance, acquisition finance, project finance and general banking
• Intellectual property & technology: technology transactions, software licensing, SaaS agreements, data protection.
• Competition / Antitrust: regulatory investigation and merger control

Assignments will typically involved working in-house with our clients or supporting internally at Simmons & Simmons tams on key matters, depending on business needs.

Person specification:

• You are a qualified lawyer with experience from a top tier law firm.
• You are a problem solver and offer a collaborative approach.
• You are able to work in a dynamic and fast moving environment.
• You are able to work quickly and effectively to tight deadlines. You have excellent organisation skills with the ability to effectively prioritise workloads.
• You can work autonomously but can also collaborate as part of the wider team.
• You will be required to hold the relevant right to work in the UK (visa sponsorship is not available).
• You will be based or shortly relocating to the UK.
