Main purpose of the role:
- Provide legal support on a wide range of Debt Capital Markets (DCM) transactions across North Asia.
- Independently manage debt issuances, programme establishments and updates, and transaction execution from inception to completion.
- Review, draft, negotiate, and advise on transaction documentation and related legal matters.
- Advise on regulatory, legal, and documentation issues relating to capital markets activities.
- Partner closely with business teams, external counsel, issuers, underwriters, trustees, and other transaction participants.
- Support the Capital Markets & Advisory business on broader transactional and advisory matters as required.
Person specification:
- Qualified lawyer with 8+ years' Asia DCM experience gained in-house or in private practice.
- Strong experience advising on a broad range of debt capital markets transactions, including standalone issuances and programme work.
- Able to manage transactions independently with minimal supervision.
- Familiarity with North Asia markets and cross-border transactions.
- Strong drafting, negotiation, stakeholder management, and project management skills.
- Commercially minded and comfortable working in a fast-paced financial services environment.
- Immediate availability or short notice period preferred.
