Position Summary:
The Business Product Owner Associate Advisor is responsible for managing the maintenance and production cycle of the expense allocation toolset (Hyperion PCM). This individual will work with users, technology, accounting and finance to support the end-to-end success of the allocation process and become a subject matter expert for operating expense allocation methodology and toolset.
Job Description & Responsibilities:
The role is responsible for the allocation process, ensuring governance over security and access, data integrity and processing schedules. This involves setting process goals, overseeing improvements, ensuring compliance, managing stakeholders, and using data to drive efficiency and innovation. The role often includes leading process design and implementation, managing risks, and providing guidance and mentorship.
The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with strong financial analysis and accounting skills, capable of working with large data sets to perform research and data analytics.
- Manage the production calendar for key dates, integrations and data inputs into the allocation model. Review output results for accuracy.
- Analysis & interpretation of data to support identification of trends and quality issues.
- Respond to ad hoc financial and matrix partner inquiries and requests, resolve financial discrepancies, and recommend process improvements including internal control enhancements.
- Support development of dashboards, reports, and other mechanisms to support consumption of allocation data.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and IT developers on enhancement requests. Support development process through coordination of business requirements, testing, implementation and change management.
- Actively seek opportunities for improvement through process changes or identification of system enhancements.
- Maintain documentation, including updates to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Data steward of operational payroll information to support accounting processes
- Other special projects as assigned

Experience Required:
Qualified candidates will typically have 8 - 11 years of progressive experience in financial analysis, cost accounting and system support. Successful candidates will be high energy, self-starters with a focus on quality output and project delivery success. Candidates must be excellent problem solvers and creative thinkers.
Experience Desired:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred
- Desired Tool Experience: Microsoft Excel, Access, Agile, Jira, Confluence, Alteryx, Hyperion PCM, SQL proficiency
- Demonstrated experience establishing and delivering complex projects/initiatives within agreed upon parameters while achieving the benefits and/or value-added results.
