What you'll do...
About the Team:
TRACE is Walmart’s enterprise traceability and supply chain intelligence platform, connecting upstream supplier data with inventory, merchandising, and operational systems. It supports product traceability, freshness, dwell-time visibility, supplier transparency, and supply chain intelligence across multiple categories.
Walmart’s Order Management System supports high-volume domestic, imports, and international purchase-order lifecycles. Together, these platforms require intuitive user experiences, scalable APIs, strong operational reliability, and disciplined engineering practices.
What you’ll do:
Own complex frontend and full-stack capabilities from technical design through production operation.
Build scalable React and TypeScript applications using microfrontend architecture and reusable component patterns.
Develop Node.js backend-for-frontend services and integrate with GraphQL, REST, and Java-based platform APIs.
Drive technical decisions involving application composition, state management, security, performance, caching, and error handling.
Establish automated testing, CI/CD, telemetry, monitoring, and production-readiness standards for owned capabilities.
Evaluate design trade-offs and incrementally modernize existing experiences without disrupting critical workflows.
Lead design and code reviews, mentor engineers, and partner with product, UX, architecture, and platform teams.
Apply AI services and GenAI-assisted development tools where they measurably improve product capabilities or engineering efficiency.
What you’ll bring:
Strong expertise in React, TypeScript or JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and modern frontend architecture.
Experience designing or operating enterprise-scale microfrontend applications.
Experience building Node.js services, backend-for-frontend layers, and GraphQL or REST integrations.
Working knowledge of Java microservices and distributed-system fundamentals.
Experience with Azure, containers, Kubernetes, CI/CD, observability, and production support.
Strong understanding of frontend performance, accessibility, security, automated testing, and maintainability.
Ability to independently decompose ambiguous problems, evaluate technical trade-offs, and deliver scalable solutions.
Demonstrated technical leadership through design influence, mentorship, and cross-team collaboration.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
