General Radiographer
Springfield Hospital, Chelmsford
Full time - 37.5 hours
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a General Radiographer to join our busy and supportive X-ray team at Springfield Hospital.
Our service operates seven days a week, with shifts typically scheduled between 8:00 am and 8:00 pm. The successful candidate will be expected to work flexibly across a range of days and shift patterns to support service delivery and meet the needs of our patients. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic team dedicated to providing an efficient, responsive, and patient-centred imaging service.
The role
In this role, you will be an integral part of a team who are committed to delivering the highest quality clinical outcomes, where you will be valued for your skills and expertise. You will play a key role within a fast-paced environment where the team will rely on knowledge and experience.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain effective working relationships with consultants, clinicians, and multidisciplinary teams, ensuring excellent communication and a high standard of patient care.
Deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging services in accordance with departmental protocols, professional standards, and best practice guidelines.
Ensure the safety, dignity, and wellbeing of patients, visitors, and staff at all times, adhering to radiation protection and health and safety regulations.
Work collaboratively as part of a dynamic and innovative imaging team, contributing to a positive and supportive working environment.
Demonstrate flexibility in supporting different imaging modalities and service areas to meet operational and patient care needs.
Undertake a range of administrative duties, including Image Exchange Portal (IEP) administration, stock ordering, patient appointment scheduling, and responding to telephone enquiries.
Participate in quality assurance programmes, equipment quality control testing, and clinical audits in line with Ramsay policies and departmental requirements.
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with data protection, governance, and confidentiality standards.
Contribute to service development initiatives and actively participate in continuous professional development to maintain and enhance clinical competencies.
Support the delivery of an efficient, patient-focused service, ensuring a positive patient experience throughout their imaging pathway.
What you will bring with you
Diploma or degree in diagnostic Radiography
HCPC registered
Min 1-year post qualification would be an advantage but newly qualified candidates would be also considered
Sound written and verbal communication skills
Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required
Passion to deliver high quality diagnostic services
