Job Summary & Responsibilities
For an Italian branch of a European CIB bank active globally, the FCC Officer reporting to the local Chief Compliance Officer is in charge of ensuring that the Bank’s operations and business follow all relevant legal, regulatory, Group and internal rules, and of developing and implementing an effective compliance program for the Company, particularly on FCC matters (AML&CTF, International Financial Sanctions and ABC).
The ideal candidate should have strong analytical, communication and writing skills, the ability to collaborate with others, manage projects and processes, as well as prioritize and balance the workload. In this role, the person would be expected to quickly gain an understanding of the bank’s CIB businesses in conjunction with the rules and regulations under which the bank operates and make executive decisions on behalf of the group, applying a risk-based approach.
More in detail, the FCC Officer core accountabilities are to:
- always identify the applicable regulatory and Group requirements, assess their impacts on the existing company processes and procedures, identifying potential gaps, supporting and advising the local and HQ Management and the other functions on those matters;
- advice the business functions and provide sound and reasonable opinion on FCC risks especially in relation to client onboarding and transactions;
- review and validate internal applicable Policies and Procedures and make them enforceable;
- assess the adequacy and the effectiveness of the organizational measures adopted to mitigate the FCC risk, suggesting measures to enhance the capacity of the compliance management system to mitigate the FCC risk also assessing their adequacy;
- coordinate and supervise FCC activities in accordance with the applicable legislation vs the 1st Line of Defense;
- provide the FCC dept and FCC Officers at HQ with regular reporting;
- promptly inform and update the FCC department and FCC Officers on any compliance issues;
- share best practices across the Bank, with other control functions and with Group Compliance & FCC;
- delivering training sessions to employees;
- support the local Chief Compliance Officer, where required, in assessing the adequacy of new products and services;
- support the local Chief Compliance Officer in the preparation of Regulatory Reporting.
Requirements:
- university level degree or comparable, preferably in law, business administration or finance/economics;
- second level master’s degree in Compliance or FCC or internal control system-related topics would be a plus;
- prior experience of at least 7 years;
- Italian mother tongue and fluent in English, with communication skills;
- successful, multi-year track record in prior similar or connected functions (preferably Compliance or Internal Audit), also in Consultancy firms;
- in-depth knowledge of the European and Italian legal environment on Banking (Corporate & Investment banking would be a plus);
- in-depth knowledge of the European and Italian AML&CTF Regulation, Financial Sanctions and Anti Bribery & Corruption;
- knowledge of GDPR, Anti-Usury and Transparency Regulations would be a plus, as well as having previously supported MiFid related activities

Transparency Decree
The successful candidate will be hired as VP within the category Quadro Direttivo, as provided for under the National Collective Bargaining Agreement for the Credit Sector (CCNL Credito).
Accordingly, the initial gross annual base salary will not lower than the minimum salary applicable under the relevant level of the CCNL Credito. Please consider that the final level of classification and the corresponding remuneration will be determined during the recruitment process, with objective, transparent and gender-neutral criteria, taking into account also the candidate's qualifications, relevant professional experience, skills and the requirements of the position.
