Overview
Element has an opportunity for an Associate Engineer to join our rapidly expanding team. As a member of the operations team, the Engineer position performs a variety of routine and non-routine testing assignments within the department assigned and insures timely and accurate test results under minimal direct supervision. The engineer position must be proficient in a number of core business and technical skills including but not limited to compliance to established safety rules, code of conduct, and company policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for test development and laboratory tasks - conducting tests and analyzing data
- Job documentation - recording and reporting
- Ensure all laboratory work, equipment conditions, and documentation comply with quality standards
- Support accreditation maintenance and renewal activities, including audits, method validation, and proficiency testing
- Keep workspaces, records, and materials well-organized to ensure efficient and traceable lab operations
- Regularly update progress and promptly report any challenges
- Maintain good internal and external communication
- Collaborate with other team members to promote teamwork
Skills / Qualifications
- Minimum Diploma in a field related to materials such as Civil Engineering or Materials Engineering
- Strong passion for pursuing a career in construction and building materials
- Interest in laboratory testing with strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to adapt and learn quickly in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and draw conclusions
- Basic understanding of material testing procedures
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset focused on completing tasks efficiently and correctly
