Description
Role expectations
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, and Designers to define and deliver user-centered solutions.
- Design user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI aligned with the Align Design System (ADS).
- Apply user research insights (e.g., usability testing, surveys, feedback synthesis) to inform design decisions.
- Participate actively in design critiques, incorporating feedback to improve quality and consistency.
- Ensure design consistency, accessibility, and usability across web, mobile, and desktop platforms.
- Support development teams by providing clear design specifications, assets, and guidance during implementation.
- Contribute to improving design processes and documentation as part of a growing global design team.
What we're looking for

- Bachelor’s degree in UX/UI Design, Human–Computer Interaction, Product Design, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 3–6 years of UX/UI design experience, preferably in enterprise software, SaaS, healthcare, or complex platforms.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating systematic design thinking, interaction design, and visual clarity.
- Tools: Proficiency in Figma for design, prototyping, and collaboration; familiarity with modern prototyping workflows.
- Ability to present design work clearly, explain rationale, and collaborate with global stakeholders.
- Comfortable working independently while contributing effectively within cross-functional and distributed teams.
- Professional English proficiency, with the ability to participate efficiently in meetings, document design decisions clearly, and present work confidently in design reviews.
- Ability to work onsite in the Costa Rica office and collaborate across time zones.
Complementary skills
- Experience working with design systems or component libraries.
- Exposure to AI-assisted workflows, data-driven platforms, or complex system design.
- Familiarity with healthcare, clinical, or dental workflows.
- Interest in motion, micro-interactions, or emerging interaction patterns.
