Job Description

As a Security Officer - Transit Platform in Denver, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a government transit location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will assist riders and staff through professional communication and exceptional customer service while working with an agile, reliable team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to passengers, employees, and visitors while carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at public transit locations
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of transit stations, platforms, parking areas, facilities, and surrounding perimeters to help deter unauthorized activity
• Monitor for suspicious behavior, policy violations, access concerns, and transit disruptions, and document and report observations according to established procedures
• Respond to incidents, emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, contacting transit personnel and/or emergency services as appropriate
• Assist with crowd direction, restricted-area access, and incident response while maintaining a courteous and professional presence

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• A state-, county-, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
