Unarmed Security Officers for a gated community in Old Westbury, Long Island

Doyle Security Services (DSS) is currently looking for UNARMED SECURITY OFFICERS for a gated community in Nassau County, Long Island.

Unarmed Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for residents, guests, staff, and visitors within a gated community. The officer monitors access points, patrols the property, responds to incidents, enforces community rules and policies, and provides excellent customer service while maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor.

Locations & Shifts:

Old Westbury: Saturday & Sunday 0000-0800

Old Westbury: Saturday & Sunday 1600-0000

Old Westbury: Saturday & Sunday 0800-1600

Old Westbury: Monday-Friday 0000-0800

Old Westbury: Monday-Friday 1600-0000

UNARMED SECURITY OFFICER WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

• Control access by verifying residents, visitors, contractors, and deliveries.
• Monitor entry and exit gates and operate access control systems.
• Ensure all gates, doors, and common areas remain secure.
• Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a courteous and professional attitude.
• Follow company policies and post orders at all times.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, or policy violations.
• Respond promptly to emergencies, alarms, disturbances, and resident requests.
• Complete accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and shift reports.
• Communicate effectively with residents, management, law enforcement, and emergency responders when necessary.
• Reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures.
• Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities.
• Tasks assigned by supervisor or manager.

UNARMED SECURITY GUARD REQUIREMENTS:

• Valid NYS Security Guard License.
• Valid Driver's License is required.
• High School Diploma / GED required.
• 5-7 Year U.S. work history may be required.
• Must be able to understand the English language and communicate effectively in both the verbal and written form.
• Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
• Prior security or customer service experience is preferred
• Must be physically able to perform the tasks required by the position.
