Production Assistant Manager Plant 3

Job Description Summary :

Ensuring production quantity, product quality, and team performance are in accordance with the targets set at Plant 3, running optimally, safely and efficiently, and synergizing Plant 3 production with other departments.

Job Description :

• Integrate production activities at Plant 3 according to the schedule established by the PPIC.

• Regularly evaluate production quantity and quality for each section.

• Coordinate with PPIC to ensure product tank and product availability.

• Coordinate with other departments (Quality Control, Maintenance, SCM, and Utilities) to support production success and minimize downtime.

• Evaluate the performance of each section (#100-#700 Plant-1 or 2, #100-2, #700 Plant-3) and manage manpower within the production department.

• Distribute the Plant Overhaul plan to relevant departments (Maintenance, Utilities, SCM).

• Conduct risk assessments for each section.

• Evaluate planned process changes (line modifications, line additions) to ensure smooth production

• Control equipment availability to support environmentally friendly production processes.

• Evaluate the performance of the production department.

• Control water consumption and wastewater generated from the production process

• Ensure the implementation of systems (QMS, EMS, ISO 14001, ISO 9001, ISO 45000, ISO 22000, Halal, GMP + B2, EFfCI & Proper, Smart D-safe) in each section.

• Provide improvements to customer complaints related to production.

Job Requirement :

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, or Process Engineering.

• More than 10 years in oleochemical, edible oil, or related process industry

• Hands-on experience in : Fat splitting (hydrolysis), Fractional Distillation (fatty acid fractionation, Glycerine refining (evaporation, bleaching, distillation, Hydrogenation Plant Fatty Acid & Oil Hydrogenation Both Batch & Continuous Proces, Hydrogen Generation Plant (Methanol Cracking & Steam Methane Reformer)

• Prior assistant manager level for 3 years minimum

• Strong understanding of Continuous fat splitting process, Vacuum distillation systems, Heat exchangers & evaporation systems, Utilities (boiler, cooling tower, thermic fluid heater)

• Familiar with Process control systems (DCS/SCADA), P&ID reading and troubleshooting, Yield optimization & loss control

• Having Knowledge of Oleochemical standards (e.g., fatty acid purity, glycerine grades)

• Ability to Monitor plant performance & KPIs (Plant uptime, OEE and IPQC plant performance), Troubleshoot process upsets, Optimize production efficiency and energy usage, Production yield (%), Energy consumption per ton, Plant downtime, Product quality compliance, Safety incident rate

• Experience in Start-up & shutdown procedures, Preventive & predictive maintenance coordination, Production planning and scheduling

• Strong knowledge of Process safety (HAZOP, risk assessment), Environmental regulations, Wastewater treatment (especially for oleochemical plants, HIRADC

• Familiar with standards such as ISO 9001 / 14001 / 4500, GMP (if applicable), FSSC 22000

• Strong in Analytical thinking, Decision-making under pressure, Strong problem-solving ability

• Attention to detail

• Good reporting and documentation skills

• Good communication in English 

• Familiar with SAP or ERP System, Data analysis (Excel, basic process data trending)

• Familiar with Continuous improvement tools : Lean Manufacturing,

• Six Sigma (Green Belt is a plus)

• Willing to be located in Medan
