The Scheduler Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and scheduling interpretation services to ensure timely language access support for patients, providers, and staff. This role manages interpreter assignments, monitors daily coverage, processes language service requests, and serves as a liaison between clinical departments, interpreters, and external vendors. - Provide reception duties in the Scheduling office. Answer phone calls timely and respond according to need. Triage phone calls to appropriate scheduler or staff member.
- Schedule procedures and patient visits using the computerized scheduling system, in accordance with the scheduling rules and guidelines written by the Scheduling Policy Committee.
- Maintain the clinical privilege notebook in collaboration with the office of Medical Staff Affairs.
- Monitor, validate, and record all incoming scheduling faxes on a daily basis.
- Monitor and record daily tracking sheets.
Qualifications:
- High school plus specialized, short-term training in Medical Terminology. Solid computers skills required with the ability to type 45 WPM
