Description
We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Denbighshire to assist with the appointment of a Receptionist, on a 1.5-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £14.13 - £18.29 per hour
Summary:
The Receptionist will provide professional reception, greeting, clerical, administrative and basic financial support to customers, visitors and staff. The successful candidate will provide a welcoming and efficient service while maintaining accurate records and supporting the wider team with day-to-day administrative duties.
Responsibilities:
- Undertake reception and greeting duties, responding to routine telephone and face-to-face enquiries.
- Provide general clerical and administrative support, including photocopying, filing, emailing and completing routine forms.
- Maintain manual and computerised records and management information systems.
- Undertake routine copy-typing, word processing and other IT-based tasks.
- Sort and distribute incoming and outgoing mail.
- Assist with organising meetings, including booking rooms and arranging travel/accommodation where required.
Qualification:
- 5 GCSEs, Grades A–C or equivalent, including Maths and English.
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification/experience in a relevant discipline.
- ECDL or equivalent qualification, or willingness to obtain this within 18 months of appointment.
Essentials:
- Experience working in an administrative, clerical or finance environment.
- Very good IT skills, including word processing, spreadsheets and databases.
- Good numeracy and literacy skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Good customer service skills and the ability to deal confidently with face-to-face, telephone and email enquiries.
