Texas A&M International University (TAMIU), a member of the Texas A&M University System, welcomes applicants for a Clinical Assistant Professor of Nursing to begin Spring 2027.

This is a full-time, non-tenure track, 9-month academic faculty appointment. Primary duties will include teaching assigned nursing courses; supervising student clinical experiences; evaluating students' progress in course work and clinical experience; completing all administrative aspects of courses taught; advising students throughout their program of studies, as appropriate; and planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating the curriculum, as appropriate. Duties also include serving on and participating in college and university committees; and providing service to the community and profession. This position requires face-to-face interactions through a regular schedule of attendance on campus and in the workplace.

Required Qualifications

The successful candidate must hold a earned master's degree in nursing; have two or more years of clinical nursing experience; and have a current unrestricted/unencumbered license to practice registered nursing within the state of Texas. Those who are advanced practice nurses should meet and have all certification required for the specialty. We strongly encourage candidates with an earned doctorate in nursing from an accredited university. ABDs will be considered. Candidates with one or more years of teaching experience in higher education are also encouraged.
