Description

Join us as we transform immunology and deliver medicines that help autoimmune patients get their lives back. argenx is preparing for multi-dimensional expansion to reach more patients through a rich pipeline of differentiated assets, led by VYVGART, our first-in-class neonatal Fc receptor blocker approved for the treatment of gMG, and with the potential to treat patients across dozens of severe autoimmune diseases.

We are building a new kind of biotech company, one that maintains its roots as a science-based start-up and pushes our commitment to innovate across all corners of our business. We strive to inspire and grow our company, our partnerships, our science, and our people, because when we do, we deliver more for patients.

CDS Graduate Program — Corporate Development & Strategy

Join us in revolutionizing immunology and delivering life-changing therapies for autoimmune patients. At argenx, we are entering a dynamic growth phase, driven by a strong pipeline of innovative treatments, including VYVGART, our pioneering Fc receptor blocker for gMG. With your help, we aim to expand our impact and bring relief to patients across various severe autoimmune diseases.

We're building a unique biotech company, one that preserves its start-up roots while innovating in every aspect of the business. At argenx, we inspire our teams, nurture partnerships, and foster a culture of creativity and growth, all to deliver more for patients.

About the CDS Graduate Program

Corporate Development & Strategy (CDS) helps define argenx's future, bring new opportunities into the company, and maximize the value created through our external partnerships and partner ecosystem. The CDS Graduate Program is crafted to nurture the next generation of talent who will operate at the intersection of science, strategy and partnerships, and to support argenx's 2030 vision.

The program is offered on a permanent contract, with the ambition that you continue your career in one of the four CDS teams after the rotations, and combines:

·        A concrete project in each team. During every rotation you will own a project scoped with the host team, an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to their agenda, deliver a tangible outcome, and leave something behind before moving on to the next rotation.

·        Rotational assignments. Experience the full CDS mandate through 4 rotations of 6 months across the Strategy, Business Development, Specialized Sourcing and Alliance Management teams. This hands-on approach lets you develop vital skills, gain broad exposure to how external opportunities are identified, evaluated, contracted and managed, and build a strong professional network inside and outside argenx.

As a CDS Graduate, you will contribute to real decisions from day one and gain a rare 360° view of how a growing biotech shapes its portfolio and its partner ecosystem, setting the stage for long-term career growth in our fast-paced environment. A dedicated mentor within CDS will guide and support you throughout the journey.

Role Overview

The CDS Graduate Program is designed as a two-way commitment: we invest in your development, and we expect you to bring energy, ideas and delivery in return. Across the program you will:

·        Own a project per rotation. In each of the four teams you will take responsibility for a scoped project, delivering concrete outcomes that support the team's priorities.

·        Contribute, not only learn. You are expected to bring a fresh, informed perspective, challenge the status quo constructively, propose your own ideas, and drive them forward with an entrepreneurial mindset.

·        Grow through rotational learning. Four 6-month rotations in Strategy, Business Development, Specialized Sourcing and Alliance Management you start to build critical competencies and insights, supported by tailored training and development opportunities.

·        Benefit from mentorship and sponsorship. Ongoing support from a dedicated CDS mentor and exposure to CDS leadership across all four teams throughout the program.

After the program

The rotational format is designed to help both you and CDS identify the best team-match. The clear expectation is that, at the end of the four rotations, you land in a permanent role within one of the four CDS teams, where your interests, strengths and the team's needs align. The program is the on-ramp; a long-term CDS career is the destination.

The four CDS teams you will rotate through

·        Strategy: Helps answer some of argenx's most important questions: where should we play, how should we grow, and which opportunities will create the greatest impact for patients and shareholders. The team combines strategic analysis, portfolio insights and cross-functional collaboration to support decision-making and translate ambition into action.

·        Business Development:  Connects argenx to the external opportunities that will shape its next chapter of growth. The team identifies and evaluates innovative assets, technologies and partnerships, and works across the organization to execute transactions that strengthen the pipeline, create strategic options and deliver on the long-term vision.

·        Specialized Sourcing:  Helps argenx accelerate innovation by connecting our teams with the best external capabilities across development, manufacturing and research. The team develops sourcing strategies, identifies and selects strategic partners, and fosters high-performing collaborations that turn external partnerships into a competitive advantage.

·        Alliance Management:  Steward of argenx's most important partnerships. Working across a diverse network of universities, research organizations, industry partners and strategic providers, the team builds trusted relationships, aligns goals and unlocks new opportunities, turning external collaborations into lasting scientific and business impact.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for ambitious early-career talent who combine a solid scientific foundation with a genuine interest in strategy, business and partnerships, and who want to help shape the next chapter of a fast-growing biotech.

This program is especially suited to candidates who thrive at the intersection of science and business, are comfortable with ambiguity, and can move fluently between analysis, cross-functional collaboration and executive-level communication. We expect you to arrive with an entrepreneurial mindset: spotting opportunities, proposing ideas, and taking ownership of the outcome.

·        Genuine curiosity for science, healthcare and the biotech business model

·        Excellent written and verbal communication, adaptable to different stakeholders including senior leaders and external partners

·        Entrepreneurial mindset, proactive, source of proposals, and eager to turn ideas into outcomes

·        Effective network builder, team-oriented and collaborative

·        Proven ability to perform under pressure and manage multiple priorities

·        Big-picture and results-driven

Qualifications

·        Completed Master's degree in a life sciences or scientific field (e.g., Biomedical Sciences, Bioengineering, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Chemistry, Bioinformatics, or equivalent)

·        Completed an MBA or a specialized management / business master

·        First exposure to strategy, business development, consulting, venture, market intelligence or partnering (through internships, theses or early-career experience) is a plus

·        Graduated in 2025 or 2026

·        Less than 2 years of full-time work experience (internships and placements excluded)

·        Fluent in English

·        Willingness to be regularly present in Ghent Belgium, especially at the start of the program, to integrate with the CDS teams and the broader argenx organization

Application process

·        Submit your CV, accompanied by a genuine motivation letter explaining your interest in this Graduate Program.

·        Applications must be received no later than 14 October 2026.

·        By the end of October latest, candidates will be informed whether they have been selected to move forward in the process.

·        Selection rounds (both online + onsite) will take place in November and December 2026.

·        The successful candidate will be appointed by end of December 2026.

·        We aim for a start on 1 February 2027.
