Internship – AI Engineer - AI-Powered Software Migration Factory

Modernizing enterprise applications is often a complex, costly and time-consuming activity. Recent advances in Generative AI are opening new possibilities to automate code analysis, migration activities and transformation workflows. We already made significative work on using GenAI to migrate the codebase. This internship will explore how AI can help us achieve a fully automated, end to end, migration factory pipeline. It will cover all the steps from initiation, quality assurance, testing, merge requests and delivery.

YOUR ROLE

• Design and prototype an AI-powered software migration factory capable of automating all phases of application modernization programmes.
• Analyse existing migration methodologies and workflows.
• Explore AI-assisted code transformation techniques.
• Build proof-of-concept automation capabilities.
• Develop validation and quality-control mechanisms.
• Investigate self-healing and feedback-loop approaches.
• Collaborate with Architecture, Software Factory and Quality Engineering teams.
• Present recommendations for future industrialization.

YOUR PROFILE

• Master's student in Computer Science, Software Engineering or AI.
• Strong interest in software architecture and modernization.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools.
• Knowledge of Typescript and NodeJS ecosystem is a plus.
• Analytical, structured and innovative mindset.
• Residence in Switzerland or willingness to relocate
