Commercial Lines Placement Specialist
Job Summary
The role of Commercial Lines Placement Specialist focuses on leveraging marketing expertise to ensure effective placement of commercial lines accounts while maintaining and strengthening relationships with clients, carriers, and internal teams. This position requires strong insurance and marketing knowledge, with the ability to develop customized client solutions, negotiate with carriers, and facilitate seamless insurance placement.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with producers and account managers to secure optimal placement of commercial lines insurance accounts.
- Evaluate client needs and develop comprehensive marketing strategies to address coverage gaps or challenges.
- Build and maintain strong carrier relationships; negotiate terms, conditions, and premiums for tailored coverage solutions.
- Create and present professional, detailed proposals to clients for their commercial coverage options.
- Monitor market trends to support clients in obtaining innovative insurance offerings.
- Partner with internal teams to ensure seamless onboarding and satisfaction of client accounts.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements throughout the placement process.
- Maintain accurate records, documentation, and reporting on all placements.
- Develop and manage marketing initiatives, campaigns, and materials aimed at driving business growth.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Insurance, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
- Professional Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in commercial lines insurance, placement, underwriting, or a related marketing role.
- Strong knowledge of insurance products, policies, and regulations related to commercial lines.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented and client-focused environment.
- Demonstrated ability to build partnerships and manage relationships with clients and insurance carriers.
- Solid negotiation skills with a proven track record of successfully advocating for client-centric solutions.
- Detail-oriented and committed to delivering high-quality outcomes in fast-paced environments.
- Proficiency in relevant software tools such as CRM platforms, Microsoft Office Suite, and carrier quoting systems.
- Innovative thinker with a customer-first philosophy and an aptitude for problem-solving.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional designation such as CPCU, CIC, or ARM.
- Experience developing and executing marketing campaigns within an insurance environment.
