Are you organized, collaborative, and excited about supporting programs that advance the structural engineering profession? The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) is seeking a motivated Coordinator, Technical Programs to support the Structural Engineering Institute (SEI) and its network of volunteers, committees, and technical initiatives that serve more than 30,000 structural engineers worldwide.

What You'll Do

As Coordinator, Technical Programs, you'll play a key role in supporting the programs, resources, and volunteer activities that help shape the future of structural engineering. You'll:

  • Support committees, task groups, and volunteer leaders in executing projects and initiatives
  • Coordinate meetings, events, webinar logistics, and volunteer activities
  • Track project timelines, deliverables, and committee activities
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of webinars, workshops, short courses, and professional development programs
  • Support the development of technical reports, publications, presentations, and other professional resources
  • Maintain program records, databases, surveys, and reporting information
  • Collaborate across SEI and ASCE to support member engagement and program success
  • Contribute to special projects and initiatives across SEI and other technical groups as assigned

  • Comfort using Microsoft 365 and workplace collaboration technologies
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, volunteer leadership, and professional experience preferred
  • Experience through internships, volunteer leadership, project coordination, event support, customer service, nonprofits, associations, or educational organizations is a plus

Work Location (Reston, VA)

This is a hybrid position based in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. Candidates should be able to participate in periodic in-person meetings, training sessions, volunteer activities, and events at ASCE's headquarters in Reston, Virginia.

We offer a competitive salary with anticipated range from $50K-$60K per year with comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, legal, and pet insurance, 12 paid holidays, 18 days PTO, corporate ASAE membership, and tuition reimbursement.
