Overview

The Assistant Resident Engineer - Iconic/Interchange Stations will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of large, complex, and high-profile building projects, ensuring construction excellence, quality, and timely execution. The role requires strong leadership to manage multiple stakeholders and ensure seamless integration of architectural, structural, and building services elements.

Your role

• Lead and manage site supervision activities for large-scale and complex building projects.
• Ensure construction is delivered in line with design specifications, quality standards, and project timelines.
• Oversee integration of building services, structural systems, façades, cladding, and high-end finishes.
• Provide technical guidance on structural steel works, façade systems, and complex building interfaces.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and client teams to ensure effective project execution.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards across all site activities.
• Lead and manage multidisciplinary teams including engineers, inspectors, and specialists.
• Conduct regular meetings, reporting, and presentations to senior stakeholders and clients.
• Represent the organization in high-level stakeholder forums and client engagements.

About you

Experience

• Minimum 15 - 18 years of experience in construction supervision/engineering roles.
• Proven experience delivering large, complex, and iconic building projects.
• Strong exposure to:
• Structural steel systems.
• High-end architectural finishes.
• Façade and cladding works.
• Experience in rail-related projects is highly desirable (not mandatory).
• Demonstrated expertise in managing complex building services integration (MEP).

• Strong leadership and stakeholder management capability.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage high-profile roles with multiple stakeholders.
• Proven track record of handling roles requiring client-facing responsibilities.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced, complex project environments.

Stakeholder Management

• Act as the key interface between the client, consultants, and contractors.
• Lead coordination efforts across all stakeholders to ensure project alignment.
• Manage expectations and provide clear, proactive communication at all levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline (Master’s preferred).
• Chartered Engineer or equivalent professional accreditation preferred.

Other Requirements

• Experience in handling high-visibility, landmark projects.
• Ability to present confidently to senior leadership and clients.
• Strong track record in similar Resident Engineer roles on major programs.
