Manufacturing Engineer

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.     Evaluate manufacturing processes by applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials.

2.     Develop manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors and operatives.

3.     Participate in new projects, prototype builds, providing DFA/DFM input to new and existing product design, crating project documentation, such as process flow, layout and industrialization plan.

4.     Designing and making new equipment, tools, fixtures, integrating them into production line, and improving existing ones.

5.     Creating and maintaining PFMEAs, work instructions and other production related documentation.

6.     Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements.

7.     Prepares product and process reports by collecting, analysing, and summarising information and trends.

8.     Creates and manages plans to keeps equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services; following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures; requesting special service.

9.     Maintain product and process database and reporting accordingly.

10.  Completes design and development projects by training and guiding technicians.

11.  Investigation and problem solving of production issues and making improvements to current operations to enhance efficiency.

12.  Support and adhere to policies, procedures, and operational guidelines related to established quality management system (ISO 9001, IATF 16949). 

13.  Maintain a working knowledge of safety policies and regulations to ensure duties of self and others are performed in a safe manner. 

14.  Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

1.     Engineering qualification

2.     Minimum 5 years working in production environment, preferably in the automotive sector

3.     CAD modelling skills

4.     Programming (C++, C#, LUA, VBA) and PLC knowledge is beneficial

5.     Computer literate with Windows and Office applications
