Description
- Minimum of five years of plumbing and/or estimating experience.
- Detailed knowledge of Plumbing systems, phases & codes.
- Computer Literate in Microsoft Office.
- A team player who has strong communication skills, produces quality work, manages multiple tasks, meets all deadlines and has the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be detail-oriented and able to read blue prints & specifications.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare quantity take-offs for all plumbing systems, equipment, finish, fixtures and subcontractors.
- Review project documents, analyzing drawings, specifications, BOD, and other documentation to understand the full scope of work.
- Develop detailed cost breakdowns for materials, labor, equipment, and other expenses.
- Learn Quote Soft for performing material take-offs.
- Understand and determine labor factors based on-site conditions, work activity types, and historical data.
- Sourcing materials and labor to obtain completive quotes from vendors & subcontractors.
- Know when and how to write RFI's for potential conflicts that affect the scope of work &estimate.
- Work on constructability reviews and able to draw isometrics for missing design elements.
- Participate in bid reviews to finalize estimate, markup, strategies and cross check accuracy.
- Participate in filling out customer bid forms, and other proposal documents for in-house review and submission.
- Preparing in-house proposals and assist with assembling final estimates with the VP using Excel and Word documents.
- Maintain and manage accurate records of estimates, bids, and correspondence.
