Senior Acquisition Electrical Engineer

MTSI is looking for a strong Senior Electrical Engineer to support the B-2 SPO at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH. We need someone with experience across electronics engineering—design, development, testing/evaluation, implementation, maintenance, production, and sustainment of new or existing weapon systems, avionics, communication systems, or subsystems. This role will lean heavily on someone who understands Air Force systems acquisition, hardware/software integration at the system and subsystem level, requirements analysis, computer system architecture, and system-level test and evaluation. The engineer will also help review, update, and develop program documentation tied to engineering requirements. Experience with aeronautical systems or airborne/ground-based avionics is important, especially as it relates to sustaining engineering. Role and Responsibilities: This person will work independently and use good judgment while supporting the following: • Apply DoD engineering principles and processes to improve performance and sustainability of current and future AF and joint-service weapon systems • Provide technical leadership across complex hardware and software design efforts • Support aircraft software and hardware development activities • Contribute to systems engineering tasks including requirements management and test/evaluation • Coordinate across government leadership, development teams, vendors, and users to ensure solutions align with mission needs and resources • Identify and communicate project and system risks • Create and maintain engineering documentation for the program • Review systems engineering artifacts from development teams • Capture and communicate accomplishments and insights through reports, documentation, and program reviews • Apply risk management principles and identify opportunities for improvement • Help translate user needs into requirements and support verification and traceability • Travel up to 25% to support program activity Qualifications : • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) from an ABET-accredited school plus 10 years of industry or government EE experience – or – • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from an ABET-accredited school plus 18 years of industry experience • Active Top Secret clearance and eligible for SCI and SAP access #LI-CH1 #Zamboni
