This Position reports to:
Procurement ManagerIn this role, you will have the opportunity to purchase goods from internal and external suppliers according to the delivery schedule, transportation mode, price, special requirements, and terms and conditions. Each day, you will ensure purchasing activities are aligned with company purchasing policies and procedures. You will also showcase your expertise by handling urgent situations to ensure timely deliveries.

This role is contributing to the Motion Business based at Bangalore, India:
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Releasing purchase requisitions and initiating purchase orders in the system, aligning them with customer requirements (based on ERP and standard operation procedures) and as per the release strategy and table of authorities.
- Monitoring suppliers’ order acknowledgments and dispatch advice, along with the inbound freight, customs clearance, and local transportation processes.
- Tracking the purchase orders backlog and performing regular expending activities with internal (feeder factories) and external suppliers to ensure customer on-time delivery.
- Minimizing the late backlog by proactively identifying root causes and implementing recovery plans; and tracking goods received at the warehouse to verify appropriate delivery and ensures invoice processing and high customer service level.
Qualifications for the role
- Engineering Degree in Mechanical or Electrical/ Have a demonstrated track record in SAP P2P process. Extensive knowledge of Process & Manufacturing Engineering is preferred.
- You have 5-7 years of experience in the Railway Industry/ Any Manufacturing Industry worked as Fulfilment Specialist/ Buyer
- Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP), KPI/Dashboard reporting, Documentation & SOPs, Excel & Powerpoint and Analytical & presentation skills.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work collaboratively with suppliers, procurement teams, and other stakeholders.
