What You Can Expect:
Responsibilities:
- Actively manages and takes ownership of the entire tender process from planning to final result.
- In close cooperation with the Sales, Product Teams, and all other internal stakeholders, evaluates solution propositions, routings, capabilities, fusing all aspects into a tactical project plan.
- Manages the coordination of this plan and takes ownership of those parts that fall under the Tender Management responsibility.
- Guides and supports the Account Owner in the analysis of customers’ needs, including all tender related procedures outside the Tender Management area of responsibility, such as financial, legal, and compliance approval processes. (gatekeeper function).
- Independently analyses all deliverables received from the larger Product, Pricing and P&L organization. Where needed advises, escalates and renegotiates rates with the global, regional and local management.
- Ensures that Tender reporting tool and dashboard are maintained correctly.
- Drives continuous improvement through a strong tender follow-up with all stakeholders within the Tender Management process.
Accountability and Performance Measures (deliverables):
- Achieves both personal and team KPI’s in quantity and quality for all tenders assigned.
- Takes ownership of the Tender Management Process for all tenders assigned.
- Ensures on-time completion and in-full submission of Rehnus’ opportunity replies in near perfect quality.
Organizational alignment:
- This position reports directly into the Regional Head of Tender Management, indirectly into the Global Head of Tender Management, which falls under the responsibility of the Air and Ocean Product organization.
What You Bring:
- Has a comprehensive understanding of the freight forwarding and logistics industry.
- Can take decisions independently related to the tender process.
- Thinks highly analytically and can creatively translate complexity into clear instructions understood by all organizational levels.
- Can effectively communicate in English and at least one other major language spoken in the region.
- Has a strong understanding and practical know-how of coordinating various independent stakeholders under a tight deadline.
- Is able to communicate on all organizational levels: is comfortable to guide local pricing teams, but can also converse easily with global or regional C-level functions.
- Provides a professional project management in an international environment.
- Minimum of University bachelor’s degree, or equivalent Tender Management / freight forwarding experience.
- Experiences in various areas of freight forwarding (sales, operations, customer service etc.)
- Advanced level MS Office (emphasis on excel) and business applications.
