Overview
Blue Yonder Defense Solutions, LLC is seeking a Paralegal to join our Legal team. Reporting to the Senior Legal Counsel, this role supports day-to-day legal operations including robust document organization, review of small‑value contracts, and drafting of marketing materials. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, organized, and comfortable working independently in a fast‑paced, mission‑focused environment.
What You'll Do
Support the Senior Legal Counsel and broader Legal function with administrative and substantive paralegal tasks.
Maintain orderly, searchable matter files and contract repositories to ensure audit‑ready documentation.
Assist with review/processing of small‑value agreements and simple marketing content in collaboration with Business Development and Marketing.
Document organization & file hygiene: Implement naming conventions, tagging, and indexing; maintain matter chronology; ensure version control and easy retrieval.
Small‑value contract intake & review: Run intake checklist; confirm completeness and key terms; flag risk items; prepare issue summaries and route for attorney approval.
DocuSign packet prep & routing: Build envelopes, confirm signer roles and authority, apply templates, monitor status, remediate failures, and update repository.
Compliance review of basic marketing materials: Verify claim substantiation, disclaimers, and approved language; align with brand/legal guidelines; track approvals across Legal/Marketing.
Legal research & memos: Conduct targeted research and provide concise summaries with citations, as requested.
Cross‑functional coordination: Partner with Procurement, BD, and Operations to gather inputs and close loops on documentation.
Calendar & deadline tracking: Maintain compliance/reporting calendars (renewals, expirations, filings); send weekly digest of upcoming dates and action items.
Other duties as assigned to support efficient legal operations.
What We're Looking For
Associate or bachelor’s degree in paralegal studies or related field; paralegal certificate preferred.
2+ years of paralegal/contract support experience (inhouse or law firm); defense/government contracting exposure a plus.
Exceptional document organization skills and comfort establishing/enforcing file hygiene standards.
Strong written communication skills; able to produce clear summaries and compliance checklists.
Demonstrated proficiency with digital signature tools (templates, routing, completion packets, and audit trail management) and Microsoft 365; familiarity with CLM tools.
Ability to prioritize, self‑manage, and meet deadlines.
High integrity, discretion, and professionalism with confidential materials. Must be a U.S. person for export‑control compliance.
Familiarity with basic contract concepts; experience with legal research tools (LexisNexis/Westlaw) is a plus.
Desired Technical Experience
Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint)
Docusign (e‑signature; routing, envelopes, signer authority verification, completion certificates)
Contract lifecycle tools (CLM) for repository and metadata hygiene
Standard legal research platforms (e.g., LexisNexis/Westlaw)

The base salary range for this position is $72,000 - $80,000
The salary range information provided, reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual salary will be commensurate with skills, experience, certifications or licenses and other relevant factors. In addition, this role will be eligible to participate in either the annual performance bonus or commission program, determined by the nature of the position.
