Your Role as Manager – Value Management Office
You will play a dual role across strategy and operations, supporting the development of value frameworks while ensuring their practical application across WMQ. Leading a team of professionals, this role connects strategic intent with execution by ensuring that investment decisions, programs, and initiatives are governed, measured, and continuously refined based on performance insights.
- Lead, develop and mentor the VMO team, setting clear accountabilities and performance expectations.
- Contribute to the development and ongoing management of the Value Management Strategy through analysis, insight and continuous improvement.
- Lead the planning, coordination and monitoring of the project and asset portfolio, ensuring initiatives align with organisational priorities and deliver agreed outcomes.
- Provide targeted leadership and support to priority and high-risk initiatives, driving planning, problem-solving and recovery actions to achieve successful delivery.
- Ensure strong governance across initiatives, including stage gates, approvals, documentation standards and reporting requirements.
- Partner with business units and stakeholders to strengthen delivery capability, improve consistency and embed best-practice delivery approaches.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and stakeholders, providing guidance on governance, delivery methodologies and value realisation.
- Drive reporting and delivery maturity, advancing insight-led and predictive performance reporting while continuously improving methodologies, tools and governance practices.

What We’re Looking For
- Demonstrated experience in project management, including leadership experience of project portfolios or OPMOs, with the ability to manage complex and concurrent projects across multiple business units
- Strong knowledge of project and portfolio management methodologies, governance frameworks, and lifecycle processes.
- Demonstrated experience in benefits realisation, supported by strong commercial acumen and the ability to optimse investments and deliver value uplift initiatives.
- Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in change management and organisational transformation initiatives

Essential Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Certification in project management (e.g., AGILE, PRINCE2, PMBOK, or equivalent).
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination status (or as required by legislation and WMQ policy)
- Relevant probity checks required by legislation and WMQ Limited policy.
- Current Driver’s Licence and willingness to travel for work
