Description
Reporting to the Marketing Tech Lead, the MarTech Engineer is responsible for the implementation, operation, and continuous improvement of Latitude's marketing technology platforms. The role owns the delivery of MarTech initiatives and platform enhancements, ensuring solutions are scalable, reliable, and aligned to business outcomes.
Working closely with Marketing, Product, Data, Technology teams, and external partners, the MarTech Engineer plays a key role in delivering MarTech, product, and marketing roadmaps. As a trusted delegate to the Marketing Tech Lead, the role provides technical guidance, coordinates vendor activities, and helps drive operational priorities across the MarTech ecosystem while contributing to Latitude's transition towards Marketing Cloud Next.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver MarTech initiatives and roadmap outcomes across Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Salesforce Data Cloud, Salesforce CRM, and other platforms within the MarTech ecosystem, owning technical execution and delivery outcomes for assigned initiatives.
- Identify and implement opportunities for automation, optimisation, and operational efficiency across the MarTech landscape.
- Develop and maintain data integrations, automation workflows, and data pipelines that enable customer activation and marketing execution across channels.
- Partner with marketing, product, analytics, and technology stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into scalable MarTech solutions.
- Support the implementation of Marketing Cloud Next capabilities and contribute to the evolution of Latitude's marketing technology architecture.
- Monitor platform performance, troubleshoot issues, perform root-cause analysis, and proactively identify opportunities for optimisation.
- Work closely with data engineering and analytics teams to ensure reliable data flows, data quality, audience creation, and activation processes.
- Participate in testing, release management, and deployment activities to ensure solutions are delivered with quality and minimal operational risk.
- Drive operational priorities across MarTech platforms, including platform health, support activities, incident resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Review proposed solutions and implementation approaches to ensure alignment with platform standards, supportability, and business requirements.
- Maintain technical documentation including solution designs, process flows, data mappings, integration specifications, and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with vendors, implementation partners, and technology teams to support new capabilities, integrations, and platform enhancements.
- Contribute to the adoption of engineering best practices, automation standards, monitoring, and governance processes across the MarTech landscape.
Skills & Experience:
- You are familiar with AI tools - comfortable using tools to accelerate insights, automate routine work, prepare reporting, and tailor content quickly and effectively.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Marketing, Business, or a related discipline.
- Experience working within MarTech, Marketing Automation, CRM, Customer Engagement, Digital, or related technology environments.
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe Experience Cloud, Braze, Oracle Responsys, or similar marketing automation platforms (must-have).
- Strong understanding of marketing automation, customer journey orchestration, CRM platforms, customer data platforms (CDPs), digital marketing technologies, and personalization solutions (must-have).
- Experience supporting integrations between marketing platforms, CRM systems, customer data platforms, data warehouses, and external applications (must-have).
- Understanding of data management principles including ETL processes, APIs, data modelling, customer identity, segmentation, and activation.
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments with multiple stakeholders, priorities, and deadlines.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work proactively and independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment.
- Experience with Salesforce Data Cloud, Snowflake, Databricks, or similar customer data and analytics platforms (nice-to-have).
- Salesforce certifications such as Marketing Cloud Administrator, Marketing Cloud Consultant, Data Cloud, or related certifications.
- Experience working within regulated industries such as Financial Services.
