About the Human Resources Internship:
Develop professional HR communications, presentations, and meeting materials while analyzing workforce data and reports to support employee engagement, recruiting, and HR initiatives.
Program structure:
- Schedule: Part-time (15-20 hours/week) during the academic year and full-time (40 hours/week) during the summer.
- Location: Saukville, WI
- Start Date: May 2027
- Duration: Year-round internship
What we're looking for:
Enrollment in a four-year degree program in Human Resources Management or a related field with current status of at least a Sophomore level.
Cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher.
Proficient in Microsoft Office software: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent customer service skills to assist employees with questions.
Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
Planning and organizational skills.
Time management skills.
Attention to detail.
Ability to succeed in a team environment.
Ability to handle multiple tasks.
Preferred experience:
HRIS experience.
Customer service experience.
Familiarity and/or experience with HR practices and HR law.
What you'll focus on:
- Support new hire onboarding and assist with facilitating new hire orientation.
- Prepare reports and analyze trends related to turnover, engagement, and stay/exit interviews.
- Conduct bi-weekly audits for hourly performance reviews and Pay for Skills tracking.
- Assist with recruiting, hiring, and onboarding Summer Helpers.
- Create employee presentation materials and participate in weekly HR team meetings.
- Support a variety of HR projects and administrative initiatives while gaining hands-on experience across multiple HR functions.
