Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol in Troy, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional customer service. This driving position offers the opportunity to support a caring, people-first culture while delivering reliable service through teamwork, integrity, agility, and innovation.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, residents, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a correctional government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; communicate observations and concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor and control access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and maintain awareness of individuals entering and leaving the location.
• Prepare accurate reports and complete required documentation regarding patrols, incidents, observations, and/or access-control activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A valid firearms permit is preferred.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
