ROLE SUMMARY
Staff Platform Engineer is an individual contributor role reporting to the Principal Platform Engineer. This role delivers infrastructure and delivery outcomes across AI & Agentic AI Platform hosting platforms.
You implement the technical vision for foundational platform services that enable multi-cloud hosting and operations, as well as AI-driven workflows. You build scalable, secure, and compliant infrastructure while partnering with cross-functional teams to accelerate innovation and operational excellence. Success requires deep technical expertise, practical judgment, and the ability to collaborate and influence.
You standardize infrastructure patterns, automate deployments, and integrate capabilities such as GPU enablement, autoscaling, and GitOps practices, so platforms stay reliable, compliant, and high performing at scale.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Platform Engineering and Automation
- Build reusable modules and templates for environment provisioning in AWS and Azure.
- Operate CI/CD pipelines that standardize build, test, and deploy flows with auditable delivery.
- Automate onboarding and environment setup to minimize manual effort for application teams.
- Deliver runbooks, incident response guides, and self-healing automation for critical services.
- Contribute to platform architecture for shared hosting and delivery pipelines across multiple clouds.
- Design and implement multi-cloud infrastructure patterns using Infrastructure as Code and GitOps.
- Drive Kubernetes orchestration, autoscaling, and workload isolation for web, worker, and data services.
- Help refine standards for observability, security, and compliance aligned to regulated environments.
Operational Excellence
- Run multi-environment Kubernetes clusters with hardened ingress, registry access, and role-scoped permissions.
- Maintain platform services for logging, metrics, alerts, registries, DNS, and TLS.
- Enforce guardrails such as resource limits, quotas, network policies, and least-privilege access.
- Participate in post-incident reviews and drive improvements for reliability and cost efficiency.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong experience in platform engineering, DevOps, and cloud-native infrastructure.
- Deep expertise in Kubernetes, container orchestration, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
- Proven experience with multi-cloud architecture (AWS, Azure, GCP) and GitOps workflows (Argo CD).
- Strong background in CI/CD pipeline design, observability, and security/compliance frameworks.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related technical field.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Familiarity with Generative AI infrastructure, evaluation frameworks, and integration patterns.
- Knowledge of GxP/regulated environments and qualification processes.
- Proven Track record of driving platform adoption and mentoring engineering teams.
- Experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, or other highly regulated industries.
Work Location Assignment: Hybrid (some office presence is required)
