Lactation Consultant: Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Physician Assistant (PA)

Responsibilities
Our Lactation Consultant's:
• Provide support to breastfeeding patients and their families• Function within the scope of practice as identified by the States Board of Nursing, facility guidelines and the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners standards• Are responsible for the assessment, planning, intervention, staff education and evaluation of lactation support and education for clients in the postpartum period at Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center and at the breastfeeding support group post patient discharge.• Communicates effectively with physicians and staff as part of the health care team to collaboratively generate a plan of care for safe infant feeding, protecting mother's milk supply and to promote breastfeeding.
What you'll bring:
• Licensure: New York Registered Nurse (RN) License & Registration, Nurse Practitioner License & Registration, or Physician Assistant License & Registration• Education: Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree required• Will consider Associates of Science in Nursing (ASN) if in pursuit of a Bachelors• 5+ years of clinical experience• 2+ years of management experience preferred• Certification: International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) certification, Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program Certification required
Pay Range
USD $65.20 - USD $78.24 /Hr.Qualifications
This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
