WHAT YOU’LL DO

 

The AI Automation Engineer designs, builds, and deploys AI-driven automation and intelligent agents within customer environments to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency. Working from solution designs and customer requirements, they integrate AI agents with collaboration platforms, IT service management systems, and operational tools. This role ensures AI solutions are secure, scalable, production-ready, and fully supportable while supporting their transition into ongoing operations. The AI Automation Engineer contributes to continuous improvement of automation frameworks and helps deliver measurable business value through AVI-SPL’s AI-enabled services.

 

Day-To-Day Responsibilities:

 

• Engineer, deploy, and configure AI-driven agents, assistants, and automation workflows that integrate with ITSM platforms, monitoring tools, collaboration platforms, and operational systems.
• Implement agentic AI solutions to automate service workflows, incident triage, diagnostics, remediation, and workplace technology management.
• Develop integrations using APIs, webhooks, connectors, and automation platforms to enable seamless AI operations.
• Ensure AI solutions are production-ready, secure, scalable, and reliable, with ongoing monitoring and performance tuning.

 

• Support testing, validation, deployment, and early-life operations, including troubleshooting and operational handoff to support teams.
• Create technical documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures to enable knowledge transfer and long-term support.
• Maintain, enhance, and standardize reusable AI automation components, frameworks, and solutions.
• Provide technical expertise in customer and internal discussions, driving innovation and identifying opportunities to expand automation capabilities.
• Perform additional tasks, responsibilities, and projects as needed to support the team and organization, ensuring flexibility in adapting to evolving priorities and objectives.

 

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

 

Must-Haves:

 

• 4-6 years of experience in software engineering, automation engineering, or systems integration.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
• Experience building automation workflows using platforms such as Copilot Studio, n8n, Node-RED, Zapier, or similar tools.
• Experience working with APIs, webhooks, JSON, and system integrations.
• Experience deploying solutions into enterprise or production environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and technical problem-solving skills.

 

Nice-To-Haves:

 

• Designed, built, and deployed AI agents, chatbots, and automation assistants.
• Integrated AI solutions with ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow or Jira Service Management.
• Leveraged Microsoft 365, Teams, and other enterprise collaboration platforms to streamline workflows.
• Supported managed services and enterprise IT environments.
• Applied Python, JavaScript, or similar scripting languages to automate tasks and workflows.
• Deployed and managed solutions on cloud platforms including Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
