Description
The Executive Director of Slot Operations will be responsible for overall administration of all operations and functions of Slot services in alignment with the Mission and Objectives of the Company, and in full accordance with all operational policies and procedures. They will also be responsible for and oversee the Directors of Slot Operations and all of their duties as well as manage the daily operations and revenue management of the Wendover properties.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Formulates and administers department policies and activities, and develops both short- and long-term goals and objectives for the departments, in alignment with those of the property.
- Set and administer annual operating budget, consistently maintaining controls and preventing variances
- Evaluate P&L statements and other financial statements to monitor performance
- Regularly reviews and evaluates slot services, slot maintenance departmental performances, working through division directors to take appropriate steps in resolving unsatisfactory results or conditions.
- Performs analyses of activities, costs, operations, and forecast data to determine Slots department and organizational progress toward stated goals and objectives.
- Confers with General Manager to review achievements and discuss needed changes in goals or objectives resulting from current or projected future status or conditions.
- Reviews and approves or denies recommendations and suggestions to hire, transfer, suspend, layoff, terminate, recall, promote, discharge, evaluate, assign, train, develop, reward or discipline all Employees in the department, as necessary. Maintains appropriate staffing levels.
- Oversees the coordination of slot machine moves with slot manufacturers and appropriate in house personnel.
- Knowledge of local jurisdiction gaming laws (federal, state, etc.) and attendant regulations as well as the Company’s internal controls, policies and procedures.
- Sets priorities for Slot Operations, providing guidance and assistance as needed.
- Coordinates, organizes and implements projects on the casino floor and related facilities as they relate to operations.
- Hire all slot personal for required jobs as well as implement proper training
- Performs related and/or other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of electro-mechanical and electronic slot machine functions and operations.
- Title 31 training.
- Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English with guests, co-workers and management to their understanding.
- Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow through, courtesy, cooperativeness and work with a minimum of supervision.
- High concentration to deal with multiple tasks at the same time.
- Record-keeping or bookkeeping skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, guests and management.
- Neat, professional appearance with good personal hygiene.
- Ability to speak, read and write English.
- Ability to acquire a NV Gaming Registration.
- Accuracy and attention to detail is necessary for completion of regulatory forms.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to work in a fast-paced casino environment. Must be able to stand, walk or sit for long periods of time, speak and hear, write, finger and feel, lift and carry up to thirty pounds (30 lbs.) and occasionally more. Employee frequently required to reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and endure variable temperature conditions (extreme hot or cold). Must be 21 years of age or older.
