Project Info
ACCIONA is delivering the Eyre Peninsula Desalination Plant at Billy Lights Point, near Port Lincoln, South Australia. The 5.3 gigalitre-per-year reverse osmosis facility will provide climate-independent drinking water for around 35,000 SA Water customers. The project is now in full construction, with first water expected by the end of 2026.
About Opportunity
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you'll implement and oversee the Quality Management Plan for the Eyre Peninsula Desalination Plant. Based in Port Lincoln, you'll drive quality systems and traceability from production through to commissioning, working closely with engineers, designers and supervisors to achieve project outcomes. You'll manage audits, documentation and stakeholder engagement to keep quality standards on track across the project.
Key accountabilities for the position will be:
- Manage quality plans and systems, ensuring traceability using RIBCX
- Perform internal and external reporting and auditing on quality
- Manage security of all project documentation, soft and hard copy
- Liaise with stakeholders to ensure process consistency
- Advise on formal responses to NCRs and defective items
- Manage the as-built process, keeping construction records current
Required Skills and Competencies
What capability & experience will you need to have:
- Tertiary qualification in quality management or related field
- Experience in a similar role on complex civil infrastructure
- Strong understanding of quality management systems, RIBCX desirable
- Experience developing and maintaining document management systems
- Strong communication, problem-solving and negotiation skills
