Toledo Tool & Die is adding a Quality Manager to our team to support our continued growth.

Compensation:
The targeted salary range for this position is $125,000 - $140,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications. This position is also eligible for an annual performance bonus of up to 5% of base salary, based on performance.

Monday through Friday. Schedule may vary depending on plant operational needs, so flexibility is required. This may include long days, occasional evenings and weekends. This position may also require travel to meetings, conferences, workshops, or other facilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead, manage, and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and customer-specific requirements.
- Manage, develop, and support the quality team, including engineers, technicians, and inspectors.
- Serve as the primary contact for customer quality issues, audits, and concerns.
- Lead the resolution of customer complaints using structured root cause analysis and corrective action tools, including 8D, 5-Why, and Fishbone.
- Conduct and support QMS audits, Manufacturing Process Audits, Product Audits, and Layered Process Audits.
- Support customer and third-party audits, including pre-audit planning and preparation, audit execution, post-audit follow-up, and necessary corrective and preventive actions.
- Lead internal and external audits, including preparation, execution, and follow-up.
- Develop and monitor key quality metrics and drive corrective action plans.
- Maintain document control and quality records in accordance with customer and regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain to ensure robust quality planning and production processes.
- Lead and oversee root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions using structured problem-solving methods (e.g., 8D, 5-Why, Fishbone) with an emphasis on permanent corrective actions and prevention of recurrence.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and customer standards related to safety, environmental requirements, and product performance.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Ability to take direction, coaching, and act positively to improve performance.

ISO / ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (EMS) RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure that the resources needed for the environmental management system are available.
- Communicate the importance of effective environmental management and of conforming to the environmental management system requirements.
- Ensure that the environmental management system achieves its intended outcomes.
- Direct and support persons to contribute to the effectiveness of the environmental management system.
- Employee is responsible for ensuring all environmental practices are in line with job scope / position. Examples include but not limited to: proper waste disposal practices, reporting of spills, non-compliance to permit, and addressing any improper practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related technical field and 8 years of experience in manufacturing and quality roles, OR 10+ years of manufacturing and quality experience in lieu of a degree.
- Strong knowledge of IATF 16949 and ISO 9001.
- Strong knowledge of automotive core quality tools, including APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, and 8D.
- Experience leading a quality team.
- Experience working with OEM and Tier 1 customers.
- Demonstrated experience managing quality systems, including internal audits, corrective and preventive actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to effectively prioritize, manage deadlines, and delegate responsibilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to learn new software and data management systems quickly.
