For this position, the perfect Rhino should have the following skills:
- At least 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer
- Demonstrates strong SQL skills and applied data modelling expertise across dimensional, normalised, and lakehouse design patterns to support scalable data architecture.
- Writes production-grade Python and holds working knowledge of at least one of Scala, Java, or Go for data engineering workloads.
- Applies distributed processing frameworks, specifically Spark and Flink, to engineer high-throughput data solutions at scale.
- Holds advanced AWS expertise spanning Glue, EMR, Redshift, Athena, S3, Lambda, and Kinesis for end-to-end cloud data platform delivery.
- Designs and implements streaming and event-driven architecture using Kafka, Apache Flink, Kinesis, or Pub/Sub in production environments.
- Manages CI/CD pipelines via GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or CircleCI, and provisions infrastructure using CDK or CloudFormation as Infrastructure as Code.
- Fluency in English (B2)
- Availability for Remote model (based in Portugal)
