Job Description
Job Summary:**
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled VP, Credit Analyst to join our team at UOB China Ltd. This role involves performing comprehensive credit risk assessments, providing insightful financial analysis, and making informed recommendations to support the bank's lending activities and portfolio management.
Job Responsibilities:**
* Conduct thorough financial analysis of corporate clients, including reviewing financial statements, business models, industry trends, and management capabilities.
* Prepare detailed credit proposals and risk assessment reports, outlining key findings, risk factors, and mitigation strategies.
* Evaluate and recommend appropriate credit limits, collateral requirements, and loan structures for various credit facilities.
* Monitor existing credit portfolios for potential deterioration in credit quality and recommend timely remedial actions.
* Engage in regular communication with clients, relationship managers, and other internal stakeholders to gather necessary information and provide credit expertise.
* Stay updated on market conditions, regulatory changes, and economic developments impacting credit risk.
* Participate in credit committee meetings, presenting analysis and defending recommendations.
* Mentor and guide junior credit analysts, fostering a strong credit culture within the team.
* Contribute to the development and enhancement of credit policies, procedures, and risk models.
Job Qualifications:**
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related quantitative field. A Master's degree or CFA designation is highly preferred.
* Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in corporate credit analysis, preferably within a reputable financial institution or banking environment.
* Strong understanding of financial modeling, valuation techniques, and credit risk assessment methodologies.
* In-depth knowledge of various industries and their respective credit drivers, particularly within the Chinese market.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
* Proven ability to write clear, concise, and comprehensive credit reports and presentations.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
* Proficiency in spoken and written English and Mandarin Chinese is essential.
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial analysis software.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
* High level of integrity and strong ethical standards.
