Job Description
Purpose:
Under general supervision, performs professional accounting duties related to fixed asset records, inventory management, and the university vehicle fleet program. Ensures compliance with university, System, and State policies governing capital assets and inventory management.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update fixed asset records in FAMIS for all State-inventoried assets.
- Audit, enter, and maintain inventory and asset account data in FAMIS for more than 8,500 assets, ensuring compliance with System and State regulations.
- Review and approve AggieBuy documents for appropriate property code assignments.
- Administer equipment insurance coverage and coordinate asset-related insurance claims.
- Manage and oversee the university fleet management program.
- Review and approve departmental correction requests and asset transfers in Canopy.
- Assist with departmental property management training and develop supporting resources and training materials.
- Provide customer service and guidance to departments regarding inventory, asset management, and compliance requirements.

- Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
What is Helpful:
- Experience in FAMIS/Canopy, AggieBuy, Radiant, Emburse software programs preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and financial recordkeeping practices.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a collaborative environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in business and financial systems, including inventory and asset management applications.
