Reports to: Parts Manager / Inventory Supervisor
SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS:
• Responsible for maintaining accurate parts inventory records, receiving and stocking parts and materials, monitoring inventory levels, and supporting the efficient operation of the parts department. Ensures that parts and supplies are properly received, tracked, organized, and readily available for technicians, customers, and internal departments.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Receives, inspects, and verifies incoming parts and materials against purchase orders and packing slips.
• Organizes and stocks inventory in designated storage locations to maintain an orderly and efficient parts department.
• Maintains accurate inventory records using inventory management software and manual tracking systems.
• Conducts regular cycle counts and assists with full physical inventory audits as required.
• Monitors inventory levels and notifies Management of shortages, discrepancies, or reorder requirements.
• Pulls and prepares parts orders for technicians, service personnel, customers, and other internal departments.
• Processes returned, warranty, and damaged parts in accordance with company procedures.
• Labels, packages, and prepares outgoing parts for shipment as required.
• Maintains a clean, organized, and safe parts warehouse and storage area.
• Assists customers, technicians, and internal staff with locating parts and providing inventory information.
• Follows all company safety policies and procedures.
• Supports a company culture of continuous improvement by participating in efficiency and improvement efforts.
• Performs other duties or projects as required by Management.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with customers, technicians, vendors, and other employees are essential.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are required to maintain accurate inventory records.
• Basic computer and data entry skills are required.
• Familiarity with inventory management software is preferred.
• Ability to prioritize work, manage time effectively, and meet established deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good customer service skills and the ability to communicate inventory information clearly.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and identify inventory discrepancies.
• Forklift experience or certification is preferred but not required.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
• A High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required.
• Previous inventory, warehouse, parts department, or related experience is preferred.
• Experience with inventory management systems is a plus.
