Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Grants Management Subject Matter Expert to support the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Grant Programs Directorate (GPD) under the Grant Programmatic and Technical Services (GPATS) BPA. The Grants Management SME will provide advanced programmatic expertise supporting grant application, award, monitoring, and technical assistance activities, including Assistance to Firefighters Grants (AFGP) and Fire Prevention & Safety (FP&S) program support.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provide advanced subject matter expertise supporting Grant Program Planning, Implementation & Administration Support activities across GPD's four offices.
- Support technical assistance and help desk functions for Assistance to Firefighters Grants (AFGP) and Fire Prevention & Safety (FP&S)/R&D grant programs, drawing on fire, EMS, or emergency management subject matter knowledge.
- Review complex grant applications, awards, and modifications for compliance with federal grants management regulations and program guidance.
- Mentor Level II Grants Management SMEs and review their work for accuracy and compliance.
- Support compliance monitoring, risk assessment, and reporting activities for assigned grant programs.
- Assist with resolving escalated grantee inquiries and complex programmatic issues.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum education: Bachelor's degree in business, public administration, or a related field.
- Minimum experience: 5 years of relevant grants management experience, preferably supporting federal financial assistance or emergency management grant programs (e.g., Assistance to Firefighters Grants, Fire Prevention & Safety).
- Ability to obtain and maintain DHS/FEMA suitability and complete required agency training as directed by the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR).
