Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Customer Relations in North Baldwin, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a public school location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and provide professional customer service to students, staff, and visitors. You will communicate clearly, respond to routine concerns, and contribute to a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and community members by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, student or visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; promptly communicate observations to appropriate school personnel and emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, grounds, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor authorization in accordance with site procedures, and maintain awareness of activity during school operations and events.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and complete required reports in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
