Shape the Future of Sports and Recreation Destinations as an Architectural Project Manager — Lead Visionary Projects and Inspire Communities

Are you an accomplished project leader ready to drive the creation of premier sports, recreation, and community destinations? Do you excel at building client relationships, leading high-performing teams, and transforming ambitious visions into iconic spaces that serve athletes, fans, and communities for generations?

CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking an Architectural Project Manager to join our Sports Team in Savannah, GA; Charleston, SC; or Columbia, SC. In this pivotal role, you will guide the delivery of complex, high-profile projects ranging from athletic complexes and stadiums to parks, sports and recreation facilities, and community gathering spaces. Working alongside industry-leading designers and technical experts, you'll help shape the future of sports and recreation environments while growing client partnerships, mentoring project teams, and driving excellence from concept through construction.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead proposal development and establish project scopes, schedules, and budgets in collaboration with architecture and multidisciplinary design teams
  • Serve as the primary client partner, building trusted relationships and ensuring project goals are achieved from concept through completion
  • Develop project Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and direct project planning and coordination efforts across architects, engineers, planners, and specialty consultants
  • Manage project schedules, deliverables, approvals, and quality control processes to support successful project execution
  • Oversee project financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, revenue, and resource management
  • Lead contract administration, consultant coordination, and project documentation throughout all phases of delivery
  • Facilitate project meetings and provide timely progress updates to clients and internal stakeholders
  • Support marketing efforts, help identify new opportunities, and contribute to the growth of CHA’s Sports portfolio

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Science, Planning, Engineering Management, or related field required
  • Minimum of 9 years of building design, construction, or construction management experience required, including 6 years of project management experience
  • Ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams and construction administration
  • Demonstrated experience managing client relationships, understanding contract requirements, and overseeing multiple concurrent projects
  • Proven experience preparing proposals, project plans, extra work authorizations, and project closeout documents required
  • Experience managing project accounting processes—including forecasting, budgeting, revenue, and cash flow—required
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite required; knowledge of MS Project or Deltek VantagePoint preferred
  • Revit and/or AutoCAD experience preferred
  • An articulate and persuasive communicator, both one-on-one and in front of large groups
  • Ability to travel as needed required
  • PMP certification, PE (Professional Engineer) license, or RA (Registered Architect) license preferred
  • Consulting and/or construction management industry experience highly preferred

Why You'll Love It Here:

  • Take ownership of transformative projects that elevate communities and create memorable experiences through sports, recreation, and public spaces
  • Expand your influence beyond project management by building client partnerships, pursuing new opportunities, and helping shape the future growth of CHA's Sports practice
  • Collaborate with talented architects, engineers, and planners in a culture that values leadership, innovation, and professional growth
