  • Partner with the Managing Director to shape and execute GED’s strategic agenda, translating enterprise and business priorities into actionable plans, measurable outcomes, and effective governance.
  • Prepare board, management committee, business review, and executive materials that synthesize financial, operational, risk, and strategic information into clear insights and recommendations.
  • Support financial performance management through P&L reviews, revenue and expense analysis, forecasting, variance analysis, business cases, and performance commentary.
  • Provide analysis, constructive challenge, and execution support to senior leaders on strategic priorities, investment decisions, risks, and opportunities.

Business Execution & Transformation

  • Lead strategic, regulatory, operational, and technology initiatives from planning through implementation, establishing clear objectives, milestones, dependencies, accountabilities, and measures of success.
  • Support growth initiatives and new product launches by coordinating front-office requirements and aligning stakeholders across enabling functions.
  • Improve scalability, client experience, data quality, controls, workflow efficiency, and operational resilience through automation, analytics, artificial intelligence, and process redesign.
  • Provide transparent reporting on initiative status, financial commitments, risks, decisions, and actions required from management.

Business Intelligence & Management Reporting

  • Develop and maintain management reporting on financial and operating performance, business activity, service levels, risk indicators, and franchise priorities.
  • Analyze trends and performance drivers, identifying emerging risks and opportunities to support timely decisions.

Business Management & Operational Excellence

  • Serve as a liaison between the front office and enabling functions to resolve issues affecting clients, trading activity, revenue generation, or risk management.
  • Partner across Sales, Trading, Structuring, Finance, Risk, Operations, Technology, Legal, Compliance, Client Onboarding, and Product Control to improve processes and execution across the trade lifecycle.
  • Use operational metrics and exception reporting to identify process gaps, control weaknesses, and opportunities to improve the client and employee experience.

Governance, Risk & Controls

  • Support the global business’s governance and control framework, including risk assessments, control reviews, audits, and regulatory examinations, as applicable.
  • Track and escalate operational, regulatory, conduct, and reputational risks, coordinating remediation and monitoring action plans through closure.
  • Maintain clear documentation of business processes, controls, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications

Education

  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • MBA, CFA, CPA, CA, or an equivalent professional designation is considered an asset.

  • Understanding of equity derivatives, structured products, listed options, convertibles, preferred securities, or exchange-traded products.
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and driving outcomes in a complex, matrixed environment.
  • Strong commercial mindset and the ability to connect strategy, financial performance, risk, and execution.
  • Excellent analytical, financial modeling, problem-solving, and business case development capabilities.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, exercise sound judgment, and escalate issues effectively.
