We are currently seeking three dedicated Learning Support Assistants to join a welcoming and supportive specialist primary setting in the Basingstoke area. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are patient, resilient, and looking to make a genuine difference in the lives of children with complex learning needs.

About the Role

The school supports primary-aged pupils with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Many pupils are pre-verbal and require consistent support throughout the school day to help them access learning, communication, and social development opportunities.

Some pupils may present behaviours that challenge, including behaviours linked to communication and developmental needs. Personal care forms an important part of the role, and successful candidates must be comfortable supporting with tasks such as nappy changing where required.

What We're Looking For

✅ Experience working with children or vulnerable individuals (preferred)
✅ Confidence supporting pupils with SEND, autism, or complex needs
✅ A positive, proactive, and nurturing approach
✅ Comfortable supporting with personal care
✅ A DBS on the Update Service is essential
✅ Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Working Hours

• Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday: 9:00am - 3:30pm
• Thursday: 9:00am - 4:30pm (staff training/twilight session)

Staff are expected to be on site and ready to support pupils at the start of their designated working day.
