Part time Instructional Aide- North East Park

Description

Indian Rocks Christian School is seeking a dedicated and passionate Christian educator to serve as a Part-Time Instructional Aide supporting our Preschool and Kindergarten classrooms at the Northeast Park Campus. The ideal candidate will have a heart for Christ-centered early childhood education and a commitment to teaching from a biblical worldview while inspiring young learners academically, socially, and spiritually. This role actively assists lead teachers in helping students learn attitudes, skills, and subject matter that contribute to their development as mature, able, and responsible Christians, to the praise and glory of God.  

Essential Functions:

• Classroom & Instructional Support: Support assigned Preschool and Kindergarten teachers in facilitating daily activities, leading small groups, and following the prescribed scope and sequence as scheduled by the Administration.
• Biblical Integration: Integrate Biblical principles and the Christian Philosophy of Education throughout daily early childhood curriculum and activities.
• Classroom Management & Environment: Assist lead teachers in maintaining proper discipline and order on classroom premises to ensure a safe, nurturing, and effective learning environment.
• Safety & Supervision: Ensure student safety and security at all times through consistent, attentive supervision.
• Substitute Leadership: Function as the classroom teacher in the event of a lead teacher's absence, directing assigned substitute staff as needed.
• Team Collaboration: Work cooperatively and effectively with grade-level teams, department colleagues, and campus administration.
• Biblical Communication & Conflict Resolution: Follow Biblical principles when interacting with students, parents, staff, and Administration in a positive manner, following proper lines of authority for all conflict resolution.
• Policy Compliance: Cooperate with Indian Rocks Christian School and Indian Rocks Church Administration in implementing all policies, procedures, and directives governing school operations.

Requirements

Education and Experience:

• A minimum of a High School Diploma required. 
• Experience working with preschool and elementary-aged children and the ability to manage an active, vibrant classroom setting with patience.

Skills and Competencies:

• A collaborative, supportive leader who shows humility, drive, emotional intelligence, positivity, and loyalty to the IRCS vision and mission.
• Ability to read and interpret educational documents and instructions. 
• Ability to communicate successfully and professionally with students, parents, and staff.
• Must stay updated on training requirements and communicate changes to the Supervisor and Human Resources Director. It is the staff member’s responsibility to remain current with any certification required.

• Must be an active member of Indian Rocks as defined by regular attendance in worship services, regular attendance/involvement in an Indian Rocks Connection Group or Small Group, commitment to systematic stewardship, and faithful in tithing.
