Job Summary: The Class A Truck Driver is responsible for safely operating commercial motor vehicles to transport goods and materials to designated locations. This role ensures timely deliveries, maintains compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, and upholds the highest standards of safety and customer service.
Applicants must be 18 years of age.
Hourly:
The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Palisades Tahoe Resort, LLC’s hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Palisades Tahoe Resort, LLC’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term and long-term incentives and many region-specific benefits.
Base hourly pay range: $20.54 - $28.69 per hour

Essential Job Responsibilities/Duties/Tasks include the following; other duties may be assigned:
- Operate a Class A commercial vehicle safely and efficiently in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Transport materials, and equipment to designated company locations Or other destinations as required.
- Conduct pre-trip, post-trip, and routine vehicle inspections to ensure safe operating conditions.
- Maintain accurate driver logs, mileage records, inspection reports, and other required documentation.
- Load, secure, transport, and unload cargo as needed, ensuring products arrive safely and undamaged.
- Comply with all DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, and company safety requirements.
- Communicate effectively with mountain manager, dispatch, and team members regarding delivery schedules and route updates.
- Report accidents, vehicle issues, delays, or safety concerns promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of assigned equipment.
- Follow assigned routes and delivery schedules while managing time effectively.
- Transport heavy equipment, maintenance materials, snowmaking supplies, and construction materials between company facilities and project locations.
Competencies and Job Requirements:
Required:
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Clean driving record with the ability to meet company insurability requirements.
- Minimum of 2 years of commercial driving experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices.
- Ability to operate manual and automatic transmission vehicles, if required.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Experience operating in mountainous terrain and adverse winter driving conditions.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, talk, see, and hear. Must be capable of sitting for long periods of time as much as 90% or more of a normal 10 hour work shift. Must be capable of frequently carrying, lifting. pushing or pulling up to 50lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perceptions and the ability to adjust focus.
Working Conditions:
Indoor/Outdoor: While performing the duties of this job, the employee will frequently be exposed to outside weather conditions, mostly sun and uneven surfaces. The employee will frequently be exposed to extreme cold, wetness and/or humidity, and occasionally blizzards and extreme storm conditions.
Hazardous Materials/Noise: The noise level in the workplace is usually moderate. The employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and operating machinery. They will be occasionally exposed to extreme hot/cold and wet conditions, fumes or airborne particles. Employee will be required to work on uneven and limited footing locations. Working surfaces can be loose or slippery as well.
Equipment Used in Job: Variety of tools and machines, such as blowtorches, forklifts, levels, lifts, power drills, grinders, saws, pressure washers and water spraying equipment.
